Tuckshop

Tuckshop is offered for first & second break each Friday providing yummy, healthy food for growing kids. Most of our menu items are made fresh on site.

You can order (and cancel) tuckshop each week until Wednesday at 8pm using the Qkr! App.

We understand that some students have food allergies and we do try to offer options to suit most students. If your child does have a food allergy and you would like to order tuckshop for them, please select the relevant allergies from the allergies tab in Qkr! so we can be sure to take special care with their order.

It is also a good idea to email the tuckshop convenor Cass Somers tuckshop@burandasspandc.org.au to make a plan to ensure your child is catered for correctly.

While all care is taken to avoid cross contamination, we can not 100% guarantee the absence of allergens in any meal.

Parent helpers needed each week

Parent volunteers are needed to help each Friday from 9-11am. Volunteers are coordinated through the signup.com website. This allows parents/carers to plan in advance for any times they may be available to help out.

We know that everyone has busy lives and finding time to volunteer at school can be difficult. The expectations in not to show up every week, but if you can spare even 1 Friday morning over the year it helps to keep the tuckshop running smoothly. It’s also a great way to get to know other parents and get more insight into the daily happenings in the school. The kids love knowing you are there as well.

Ice blocks

On Thursday at first break ice blocks are available from the tuckshop.  You will need to purchase an Ice Block card for $15 through Qkr! This entitles the student to 10 ice blocks. Limit of 1 per student per week. Cards are delivered to class teachers who then distribute to the students. It is the responsibility of the student to keep their ice block card safe and bring it to the tuckshop to redeem for an Iceblock. Please note that Prep Teachers keep hold of the cards for prep students.

New cards must be purchased by 5pm on Wednesday. Please contact Cass via email if you have any issues tuckshop@burandasspandc.org.au
